Plan your dream vacation this weekend at the Sertoma Cruise and Travel Show
KNOXVILLE -- A day of vacation specials and door prizes from premier cruise and travel vendors will help you plan your dream getaway on Sunday, February 10 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. The 2013 Sertoma Cruise and Travel Show is an annual event sponsored by AAA. Travel experts will be on hand to answer questions and book trips.
The Going Places Theatre area will offer presentations on popular destinations throughout the day. A grand prize drawing will be held for a Disney vacation package, including tickets and a hotel stay.
Admission is $5 for AAA members and $6 for non-members. Proceeds support the MyLife Foundation, a Sertoma Center program which focuses on long term care and wellness for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
The Sertoma Center was originally established in Knoxville in 1961 as a place to train pre-school children for special education classes in public schools. It has since developed into a non-profit corporation that provides comprehensive life services for adults with intellectual disabilities. They are currently serving approximately 100 individuals and their families.
